Charles-Alexandre Lesueur was born in Le Havre in 1778. During the first half of the 19th century he draws Le Havre at different periods of time. The city, the port and the cliffs of La Hève constitute around 100 drawings. About 30 of these are displayed in that exhibition, next to ancient and recent photographs, bringing into relief the constant changes of the city.
