Présentation :
It is through its skies estuary, sea pervasive, its harbor and its striking light, that Impressionism was born in Le Havre. Painting in 1873 the port of Le Havre in his famous "Impression, soleil levant" (work that gave its name to the motion picture) Claude Monet brings the city of Le Havre in the world history of art.
Today, the museum Malraux has become a must for any art lover. A true glass open on the sea, the museum invites you to discover the first impressionist collection in France (after the Musée d'Orsay). Here are presented in an incomparable natural ambient light the famous paintings by Monet, Courbet, Pissarro, Sisley, Boudin, Renoir, Degas ...
To discover the landscapes that have inspired both the Impressionist painters, we invite you to an unique experience with a plane flying over the cliffs of the "Côte d'Albâtre" until Etretat: Thirty minutes of emotion in the air: take your breath away!
